Save the Date! "New European Bauhaus 15: Decarbonization of Building Operations" December 3 in Düsseldorf

As part of the New European Bauhaus lecture series, Dr.-Ing. Jan Richarz, Senior Consultant at MorgenGrün, will speak on the topic "Building Modernization – Challenges and Innovative Solutions for Energy Design."
The event focuses on the Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus: The NEB series (New European Bauhaus) is an initiative that promotes sustainable and climate-friendly concepts in the construction and building sector. It was created as part of the European Green Deal and launched by the European Commission to integrate ecological, social, and cultural aspects in construction.
Who’s Behind the New European Bauhaus?
The NEB series is collaboratively organized by Aachen Building Experts (ABE), Schüco International KG, and the magazine “nachhaltig bauen”. The event on December 3 is exclusive to ABE members and invited guests. Participation is free, but prior registration is required.
NEB 15 – What’s it About?
The event will provide deep insights into the pressing questions of decarbonization and deliver critical impulses to drive innovative and environmentally-friendly solutions in building management. The limited number of participants and the exclusive setting are designed to enable an intensive dialogue, supporting the shared goal of a more sustainable and low-CO₂ building sector.
Lecture: “Building Modernization – Challenges and Innovative Solutions for Energy Design”
In his lecture, Jan Richarz will demonstrate how the energy challenges in existing buildings can be overcome and transformed into innovative concepts. He will focus particularly on the role of new technologies, such as more efficient heat pumps and optimized energy generation and storage solutions.
Jan is responsible for building modernization and decarbonization in industry at MorgenGrün. He will explain how the building envelope, energy systems, and new technologies can be optimally aligned – a crucial step towards the decarbonization of existing buildings.
